Angela Connell-Richards stepped into the VET sector in 1994. It was hands-on work from day one. Training. Assessment. The practical realities of what it takes to run quality delivery and stay compliant.

By 2006, she was ready to take on more than delivery. She took over Reach for Training and led it as an RTO. It was a turning point. The RTO had real issues. It was owned by a local boating club and facing the risk of closure. Angela took control, stabilised operations, and rebuilt the systems that mattered. In 2009, she sold the RTO. That sale cleared the runway for the next phase.

Vivacity was founded in October 2009. It started with one-on-one consulting, solving real compliance problems with practical fixes. Demand grew quickly. By 2011, Vivacity was running workshops across Australia, both on-site with clients and through public sessions. The focus stayed the same. Clear advice. Usable tools. No noise.

In 2014, the work scaled again. Webinars became a core channel, and the compliance video library began to build. That became Vivacity Academy, previously known as Vivacity Training. Then in 2017, Vivacity introduced a membership model. It gave RTOs ongoing, structured support. Over time, that matured into the Vivacity Compliance System.

In 2020, everything shifted online. Vivacity moved delivery fully online and launched Education in Isolation training and podcasts to help RTOs transition fast. In 2022, that work evolved into the RTO Superhero Podcast. It has now reached over 18,000 downloads and averages 76 to 85 downloads each week.

From 2022 onward, Vivacity stayed close to VET reform. Drafts were reviewed. Feedback was lodged. Documents were updated early, not late. By 1 July 2025, Vivacity had released a refreshed suite of 200+ documents for RTOs. That process also surfaced a bigger problem. Compliance was getting heavier. The register load was growing from a handful to 26 registers. Spreadsheets were not going to hold up.

So the next build started. ComplyHub development began in May 2025 and launched in October 2025. The goal is simple. Reduce manual effort. Keep evidence organised. Make compliance easier to run day to day. The roadmap now includes ComplyHub expansions for RTO compliance, an SMS, and CRICOS compliance.
