You spend your days supporting clients, answering staff questions, solving problems and keeping the business moving. Finding uninterrupted time to decide where your RTO goes next can feel almost impossible.

But another busy year isn’t necessarily a better year.

Join Angela Connell-Richards for two practical, facilitated days to step back, make deliberate choices and build your plan for 2027. Bring the challenges you’re working through, the ideas you haven’t had time to explore and an honest picture of where your business is today.

What needs to change in your next chapter?

    • You want to grow, but your team is already stretched.
    • You have opportunities, but need to know which are worth pursuing.
    • Your systems keep things moving, but too much still depends on you.
    • You have a plan somewhere, but it isn’t guiding the decisions you make each week.

If any of that sounds familiar, this retreat is time to work on your business, not simply catch up on it.

We’ll look beyond the next deadline and consider the whole RTO: your people, clients, training, systems, finances and governance. Then we’ll connect your ambitions to what your business can realistically deliver.

Not just more ideas. Clearer decisions and practical next steps.

    Your direction

Clarify what you want your RTO to become and what matters most.

    Your priorities

Decide what to pursue, improve, stop or defer.

    Your growth opportunities

Consider opportunities alongside profitability, workforce capacity and delivery quality.

    Your action plan

Develop clear responsibilities, realistic 90-day priorities and measures of progress.

    Your review rhythm

Establish how to keep the plan useful when everyday demands return.

Your Mission Control brings the bigger picture together. Your Flight Plan turns that direction into actions your team can work through.

    Plan My Next Chapter

    Your retreat toolkit

Turn your ideas into a plan you can put to work.

You won’t just be taking notes. Throughout the retreat, you’ll use practical planning tools to assess your business, make decisions and map out your next steps. These are resources you can keep using with your team long after the two days are over.

    • The Superhero Mission Control — 12 Month Strategic Plan planning tool

Superhero Mission Control — 12 Month Strategic Plan

See the bigger picture. Bring your vision, values, marketing direction, financial goals and strategic priorities together on one page.

    • The Superhero Flight Plan — Quarterly Rocks planning tool

Superhero Flight Plan — Quarterly Rocks

Give your strategy a practical rhythm. Break quarterly goals into three focused priorities, milestones and measures of progress.

    • The Superhero Rock Plan planning tool

      Superhero Rock Plan

Keep your priorities in sight. Make your top three high-value activities visible and track them from progress to completion.

    • The SWOT Analysis planning tool

      SWOT Analysis

Understand your starting point. Identify the strengths to build on, weaknesses to address, opportunities to pursue and threats to prepare for.

    • The Impact and Ease planning tool

      Impact and Ease

Choose where to focus. Compare ideas by their potential impact and ease of implementation before committing your time and resources.

    • The Start | Stop | Keep planning tool

      Start | Stop | Keep

Make room for what matters. Decide what to introduce, what to stop and what is already working well in your RTO.

Your digital resources are included with the retreat. Editable Canva versions of the planning posters let you customise them for your RTO and print your own copies if you wish.

Ready to turn your next chapter into a practical plan?

    Plan My Next Chapter

Look at the whole business, not just one part of it.

Using the 8 Critical Drivers to RTO Success, we’ll explore:

The Eight Critical Drivers wheel: Marketing and Growth; Leadership and Workforce Capability; Student and Client Engagement; Industry Partnerships and Networking; Systems and Operational Structure; Training Innovation and Alignment; Financial Sustainability and Growth; Governance, Quality and Compliance.

Because growth only works when your people, systems, finances and quality can support it.

Two days to think clearly and move forward

Day 1: Get clear on where you are and where you’re going.

Review your current position, explore strengths and challenges, revisit your vision and values, and identify the opportunities and priorities that deserve your attention in 2027.

Day 2: Turn your priorities into a workable plan.

Test your choices against available time, people and resources. Develop your Mission Control and Flight Plan, shape your first 90-day priorities, and establish responsibilities, measures and review points.

This is a working retreat, not two days of watching slides. Guided exercises, practical examples, an Action Book and a companion Reference Book will help you apply the ideas to your own RTO.

    Who is it for?

RTO owners, CEOs and senior leaders who want to make more deliberate decisions about their business and build a clearer plan for the year ahead.

You don’t need a polished strategy to attend. Bring your current challenges, useful business information and a willingness to make decisions.
